For the residents of Kamakowa-Obunga in Railways Ward,
Health services are a luxury – something government hoards,
As it haggles with citizens’ lives.
Audits show the tragedy of 104 Billion shillings’ worth of code,
Yet the broken men of Kamakowa mourn for their women and wives
Obunga Dispensary, with bare shelves, is a shell of care,
Doors half-open and an infrastructure worse for wear,
unfit personnel and unresponsive nights – hallmarks of the understaffed
No flow of water, no care by day, and zero doctors to spare
In their marginalized spaces, the sick of Obunga have been left to their craft
Nationwide, such underfunded and crumbling centers of services run amok,
The elderly and the poor are crushed as they fall through the cracks,
Through its digitized dreams, SHA demands an annual pay upfront,
Yet Article 43 envisions the highest attainable standard of health – in spite of lack,
It’s time the Residents of Obunga organize and rise up to challenge the affront
